Day 2
This blogging every day is exhausting! But I will hold true to Melissa's request and post two pictures one of each kid. This one is on Halloween. I made Jay a Dorothy costume. She loved it! She had no idea who she was but I thought she was pretty cute.
This is of Olin after we got done feeding cows. I usually just hold him while I drive and Trent just throws the hay off. But when he is asleep I put him in his car seat (not buckled in) in the back. Well this particular day Jay fell asleep so when we were finished I carried JayLee in and came back to the truck to see Olin crawling out. He thought he was pretty cool!

Happy Birthday JayLee!!!
Melissa told me today that she wished I posted on my blog everyday so for the next seven days I am going to post every day. That will teach her. By the end of this seven days she will be begging me to stop.
Anyway usually I would tell you a funny JayLee story but I have to save it for another day. (I have to post for 7 days straight I'm going to milk every story) Just a look into the future, you will probably hear about me and my new war with mice so if you don't check my blog for the next seven days, I don't blame you. Also I've been working on a really cute skirt, I will post some pictures.

Rag Quilts
My mom sells these rag quilt kits in her etsy shop and I have yet to put one together, until this weekend. They cost $40 -$45 and that includes batting. To me that sounded like a lot of money but then I got thinking.... It is almost 6 yards of quality flannel. so a good flannel is around $6 a yard and then you would have to buy your batting. It adds up. Plus I can't imagine having to cut all that buy hand. Yuk! This is already cut for you.
Moral of the story: If you have a good neighbor that needs a super cute baby quilt, buy a rag quilt kit. Bonus, if you were planning on making a rag quilt and you bought the fabric but couldn't talk yourself into doing it yet (because it takes forever to cut it by hand) you could go into my mom's quilting shop and cut it for just $10.
